General Sketch of the Project

• Some DEC work away from Layman’s monument to fill out the overall Eagle project and fulfill the goal of giving back.
• Fund  raising
• Getting materials to Layman’s monument via a human chain.
• Masonry work.
• Trail work

1. digging water bars
2. closing the trail immediately behind the monument
3. cleaning up the newer route above the monument

• Landscape around the monument

1. install railroad ties
2. enhance drainage around the monument by installing drainage pipe and round stone.
3. top soil to cover the round stone
4. Plant native plants to help retain soil, (mountain laurel)
